Job TitleSenior Field Service EngineerJob Description

Position Summary:

As a Senior Field Service Engineer (SFSE) you will support Vanderlande customer sites from a mechanical and electromechanical perspective. This role will primarily support the launching of new customer sites, with occasional support at existing facilities. The work will be alongside customer employees acting as a consultant, supporting incident restoration, root cause analysis, and other system improvements.

Essential Functions

  • Support troubleshooting incidents on Vanderlande supplied equipment
  • Working alongside the customers to perform system maintenance
  • Performing health checks and audits on the mechanical aspects of the system
  • Performing emergency corrective maintenance
  • Act as main liaison between the site and Vanderlande on electromechanical issues
  • Work to process and escalate as required
  • Write up incident summaries and provide reports as and when required

Required Education & Experience

  • Experienced to degree level in a relevant competency
    - Mechatronics
    - Service Technician
    - Electromechanical
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in material handling systems

Preferred Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in mechatronics or mechanical engineering
  • 5 years' experience in supporting material handling systems
