We are currently hiring for a direct hire Service Coordinator opportunity with a growing organization in the fire protection and life safety industry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys coordinating schedules, supporting field teams, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Position Overview
The Service Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting Service Managers and Field Technicians by coordinating inspections, maintenance, testing, and repair schedules for fire and life safety systems. This position serves as the primary liaison between customers, technicians, and internal departments to ensure work is completed efficiently, accurately, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage daily schedules for field service technicians
  • Dispatch technicians to customer sites for inspections, maintenance, testing, and repairs
  • Communicate with customers regarding scheduling updates, technician arrival times, and service status changes
  • Monitor technician schedules and ensure customer commitments are met
  • Review completed work orders and verify materials, labor, and inventory allocations
  • Process inspection documentation and maintain accurate service records
  • Track reopened jobs and resolve missing documentation issues
  • Serve as the point of contact for customer portals and ensure work order extensions are submitted as needed
  • Support route planning efforts to improve scheduling efficiency and reduce travel time
  • Identify opportunities for additional service offerings and communicate with sales teams
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and internal teams

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of business-to-business customer service or service coordination experience
  • Prior experience supporting service operations or dispatching technicians preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as JD Edwards or similar platforms
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Service Trade or similar service management software is a plus
