Indiana Farmers Insurance is currently seeking an experienced, customer-oriented Field Property Claims professional to join our Claims Team and serve customers in communities throughout the assigned territory. In and around Evansville, Jasper, Vincennes, Southwest, IN.ย ย

Requirements

Qualifications and Responsibilities for the Field Property Claims Adjuster II:ย 

  • Field property claims experience, preferably with an insurance carrier
  • Strong expertise in inspecting, evaluating, and estimating structural property losses across a variety of property types, including safely accessing roofs, basements, crawl spaces, and other loss locations as needed
  • Ability to investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve personal, commercial, and farm property claims from first notice through settlement
  • Skilled in interpreting insurance policies, endorsements, and coverage provisions to make sound claim decisions
  • Experience identifying and referring potentially fraudulent claims for further investigation
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with a customer-focused approach and the ability to effectively manage expectations, navigate difficult conversations, and deliver outstanding service throughout the claims process
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record
  • Working knowledge of Xactimate or similar estimating software, preferred
  • Experience handling farm property claims, agricultural structures, equipment, and farm exposures, preferred
  • College degree, preferred
  • Industry designations such as CPCU, AIC, SCLA, or other insurance-related credentials, strongly preferred
