Job description

Field Project Manager

Waterton Construction Group
Texas | Field-Based | Full-Time

Waterton Construction Group is a leading Texas hardscape contractor specializing in commercial developments, residential developments, and complex outdoor construction projects. Our reputation is built on quality craftsmanship, strong client relationships, and disciplined project execution.

We're looking for a Field Project Manager who thrives in the field, leads teams with confidence, and can successfully manage projects from preconstruction through completion. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys solving problems, developing teams, and ensuring every project is delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

What You'll Do

As our Field Project Manager, you'll oversee multiple active projects while serving as the primary link between field operations, clients, subcontractors, and company leadership.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Lead multiple hardscape construction projects from project launch through completion
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, labor, and production to ensure projects stay on track
  • Supervise, coach, and hold field staff accountable for safety, quality, and performance
  • Coordinate with owners, engineers, architects, subcontractors, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle
  • Obtain permits and coordinate engineering plans as needed
  • Manage project schedules, documentation, and budgets within CoConstruct
  • Review, estimate, negotiate, and process change orders
  • Monitor project costs, billing projections, and overall financial performance
  • Lead production meetings and communicate project updates to company leadership
  • Resolve field issues quickly while maintaining strong relationships with clients and crews
  • Support estimating efforts and identify future bid opportunities with existing clients
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, professionally, and to Waterton Construction's quality standards

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of project management experience in construction
  • Experience managing commercial, civil, sitework, hardscape, landscape construction, or large outdoor construction projects
  • Strong leadership experience managing field personnel and subcontractors
  • Working knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  • Experience with construction management software such as CoConstruct or similar platforms
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Comfortable spending the majority of your time in the field
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel between project sites
  • Spanish language proficiency is preferred but not required

The Ideal Candidate

You're a proactive leader who enjoys being on the jobsite instead of behind a desk. You build trust with crews, communicate effectively with clients, and know how to keep projects moving forward. If you can communicate in both English and Spanish, that's a bonus, but what matters most is your ability to lead people, solve problems, and deliver successful projects.

You're organized, accountable, and confident making decisions in a fast-paced construction environment.

Most importantly, you're someone who leads by example and takes pride in delivering exceptional work.

Why Join Waterton Construction?

  • Lead impactful construction projects across Texas
  • Work with an experienced leadership team that values accountability and execution
  • Opportunity to influence field operations and mentor growing teams
  • Competitive compensation based on experience
  • Long-term career growth with a respected and expanding company
  • Collaborative, team-oriented culture focused on quality and continuous improvement

Compensation

Competitive salary based on experience, qualifications, and leadership capabilities.

Benefits and additional compensation details will be discussed during the interview process.
