What is a field operations manager?

A field operations manager oversees the field staff, or the employees who work outside of the office. Depending on the industry, field operations managers may work with employees who market, sell, and merchandise a company's products, or with field operators who drive and operate heavy machinery. As a field operations manager, your job duties include training employees, coordinating tasks, monitoring performance, setting operational goals, evaluating progress, managing budgets, and reporting to upper-level management. The qualifications for a career as a field operations manager include a bachelor’s degree and several years of experience in the industry in which you wish to work.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a field operations manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Field Operations Manager, you need strong leadership, project management, and problem-solving abilities, often supported by a bachelor's degree in business, operations, or a related field. Proficiency with field management software, scheduling tools, and possibly certifications like PMP or Six Sigma are commonly required. Excellent communication, adaptability, and decision-making skills set top performers apart in this role. These competencies are crucial for effectively overseeing field teams, ensuring operational efficiency, and delivering successful project outcomes.

Job description

Join Our Management Team

Are you a bilingual manager with substantial experience supervising or managing frontline employees and teams?

Molly Maid of Plano, Rockwall & Rowlett is looking for an outstanding Bilingual Field Operations Manager (English/Spanish) to join our growing management team.

This is a hands-on management position responsible for helping lead and develop our field workforce, ensuring our teams are properly staffed, supported and performing to the high standards our customers expect.

Compensation & Benefits

Target annual compensation: approximately $58,000.

High performers can earn approximately $63,000-$68,000 annually by exceeding established performance targets.

Compensation includes a guaranteed base of $18 per hour plus a substantial performance incentive, based on clearly defined and measurable performance targets. Performance incentives are calculated and paid monthly.

·        Paid training

·        Paid holidays

·        Paid vacation

·        Career growth opportunities

·        Supportive management team

·        Monday-Friday schedule, with occasional Saturdays as business needs require

About the Role

As our Bilingual Field Operations Manager, you will play a key role in building and managing a successful field workforce.

You will work closely with our Operations Manager and Team Leaders, with responsibility for areas including:

·        Field employee and team performance

·        Quality and customer service

·        Coaching, development and employee accountability

·        Recruiting, hiring and training

·        Staffing and employee retention

·        Resolving day-to-day employee and operational issues

This is a people-management and operations role, not simply a recruiting position.

We're Looking For Someone Who:

·        Speaks fluent English and Spanish

·        Has at least 5 years of experience directly supervising or managing frontline employees and teams

·        Has genuine hands-on people-management experience - not simply recruiting, staffing or HR administration

·        Is confident coaching people, managing performance and holding employees accountable

·        Has strong communication and problem-solving skills

·        Is confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook and Word, and comfortable working with data and spreadsheets

·        Is organized, dependable and comfortable in a fast-moving environment

·        Enjoys developing people and building successful teams

Experience in cleaning, housekeeping, hospitality, restaurants, retail, home services or another frontline service environment is helpful, but not essential.

Recruiting, staffing or HR experience is valuable as an additional skill but does not replace the required frontline management experience.

Why Join Molly Maid?

We are a successful and growing business that believes great employees and strong leadership are the foundation of excellent customer service.

This is an opportunity to join our management team, develop people, build successful teams and make a measurable contribution to the continued growth of our business.

If you're an experienced bilingual supervisor or manager who enjoys leading people and getting results, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today and become part of our management team.
