Landscape Laborer

Job Description

This role supports field and yard crews in delivering exceptional tree installation, removal, and relocation services. You will work outdoors on a variety of projects, helping care for trees and contributing to high-quality landscaping and construction activities across Los Angeles and California. Previous experience dealing with concrete tends to work the best in this work environement! Start time ranges from 5:00am-7:00am with potential 10 hour days. This role consist of meeting at Riverside and then traveling to the worksite with a 2-3 person crew.

Responsibilities

  • Assist field and yard crews with daily operations related to tree installation, removal, and relocation.
  • Water trees regularly to support their health before, during, and after transplanting.
  • Fill in holes and trenches using a shovel after tree installation or removal.
  • Compact and backfill excavations to ensure stability and proper site restoration.
  • Support tree transplanting activities, including preparing sites and handling tools and materials.
  • Perform general labor tasks related to concrete and construction work as directed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area on job sites and in the yard.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members and follow instructions from supervisors to complete projects efficiently.

Essential Skills

  • Experience as a concrete laborer or construction laborer.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work, including digging, shoveling, lifting, and carrying materials.
  • Familiarity with general labor tasks in construction or landscaping environments.
  • Ability to assist with tree transplanting, including working around heavy equipment and excavation areas.
  • Comfort working with concrete and related construction materials.
  • Bilingual communication skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
