Job description

Arthrex Indianapolis Field Inventory Specialist

Since 2013, Arthrex Indianapolis has represented Arthrex - the most innovative name in orthopedics and the standard-bearer for cadaveric, hands-on surgical training. We're just over 70 people, headquartered in Indianapolis with additional offices in South Bend and Evansville. Alongside the medical education and instructional courses we host at our state-of-the-art training facility, we're here to grow the Arthrex brand through close, collaborative relationships with our customers and Sales Representatives.

About the Role

As our Field Inventory Specialist, you'll keep product moving across our territory. You'll organize and maintain inventory in the warehouse, transfer it between locations (South Bend, Evansville, and Fort Wayne) in a company vehicle, fulfill inventory requests tied to upcoming surgical cases, and audit product at every territory site. This role reports to our Director of Inventory & Billing.

Who You Are

You're dependable, high-energy, and at your best when you're on the move. You work well independently, solve problems on the fly, and take real satisfaction in getting the right product to the right place at the right time. You keep a clean, organized workspace, you communicate with urgency, and you understand that our Sales team - and the surgeons they support - are counting on your accuracy. You're adaptable, customer-focused, and ready to be on the road at least three days a week.

What You'll Do When You're Not Driving
  • Verify, receive, and shelve returns and incoming product shipments
  • Assemble, document, and transfer outgoing inventory requests
  • Audit, document, and replenish instrument trays and product tubs after case use
  • Coordinate and plan the logistics of product and instrument deliveries tied to inventory requests
  • Keep the warehouse and company vehicle clean, maintained, and orderly
What It Takes
  • Basic computer skills; Google Workspace experience preferred
  • A clean driving record and reliable personal transportation
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Clear verbal and written communication, with a habit of timely follow-up
  • Sound judgment with confidential information and company assets - acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations as well as accreditation and licensure requirements
Physical Requirements & Work Environment

This is a physically active role that moves between our warehouse, a company vehicle, and hospital and surgery center environments. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.

  • Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds - instrument trays, product tubs, and loaded carts - with assistance available for heavier loads
  • Stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, reach overhead, and climb stairs throughout the shift
  • Sit and drive for extended periods, including loading and unloading a company vehicle in all weather conditions
  • Move product across loading docks, freight elevators, and tight hallways, and work in spaces with limited room to maneuver
  • Maintain the vision and hearing needed to drive safely, read product labels and lot numbers, and communicate clearly in noisy environments
  • Access to clinical, sterile processing, and surgical areas may be required depending on the facility; you'll follow each site's protocols for hand hygiene, surgical attire, personal protective equipment, and sterile-field boundaries
  • Potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens, chemical disinfectants, latex, and sustained noise - training and protective equipment are provided
  • Adhere to all facility, OSHA, and company safety policies at every location you enter
Benefits
  • Medical, vision, and dental insurance
  • Paid vacation
  • Paid life insurance
  • Training and career development opportunities
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Pet insurance
  • Company-provided technology package
  • Company-observed holidays
Compensation

$40,000 โ€“ $50,000 USD, flexible depending on experience

Location

This is a full-time, permanent position based at our brand-new Indianapolis headquarters. We do not offer visa sponsorship or relocation assistance at this time.

Working Hours
  • Monday through Friday, day shift - 8 hours, floating between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM ET
  • Weekend on-call rotation (very minimal)
Accommodations

Applicants with disabilities may contact our HR team to request accommodation in completing an employment application.
