What will your typical day look like?
  • Our team is looking for an Engineering Intern for an 4-to-16-month term to work alongside our engineering and geological team and play a key role in our advisory work, including:
    • Support engineering and economic analysis for oil and gas reserve evaluations, reservoir engineering studies, and due diligence projects, following established processes and procedures;
  • Apply petroleum engineering analysis to estimate recoverable volumes, production profiles, and economic viability of future development.
  • Develop a working knowledge of jurisdictional guidelines for reserve and resource estimation.
  • Collaborate and communicate with a multi‐discipline team to facilitate efficient workflow and technical sound analysis.
About the team

The Resource Evaluation & Advisory team is a collaborative group that creates value for clients through engineering and geoscience analysis in energy industry projects, as well as providing subject matter expertise internally for other Deloitte teams. We are a team who exemplifies client service excellence while having fun and supporting the career growth and the development of team members

In this role, the expected qualifications are:

  • Third year undergraduate or graduate engineering program in Petroleum, Oil & Gas, Chemical, Mechanical or related field, available for employment as of January 2027 for an 4-to-16-month term.
  • Exposure to Value Navigator, GeoScout, and Power BI or similar software is an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrating keen attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively within a team with strong interpersonal and team building skills.
  • Leadership and initiative, in and out of the work environment and a desire to be a contributing member of the community.

The salary range for this position is $40,000.00 - $60,000.00, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
