Overview:

FiberLight, LLC is seeking a Senior Accountant to support corporate accounting for a multi-state fiber networking company backed by a global private equity firm. This high-impact role offers cross-functional collaboration and the opportunity to strengthen accounting operations in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support month-end close and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
  • Key areas of focus include, but are not limited to:

-Revenue recognition accounting (subscription, construction, and deferred revenue)

-Construction/project accounting

-Lease accounting and record keeping.

-Accounting for debt

-Accounting for operating expenses, including compensation plans (e.g. commissions)

  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support audits and maintain internal control documentation.
  • Collaborate with FP&A, IT, and operations to complete responsibilities and improve processes.
  • Contribute to special projects driven by evolving business needs.


Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience.
  • Strong technical accounting skills.
  • Familiarity with modern accounting systems and proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA license (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and 842
  • Public accounting or audit experience
  • Experience with NetSuite and/or Salesforce
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, work independently, and deliver results in a dynamic environment
