Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
ATCO Rubber Products Inc. is currently hiring Material Handlers who are licensed fork lift drivers. Responsibilities include paying special attention to safety protocols while loading and unloading pallets with inventory on and off semi-trucks as directed by the shift Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Performing preparation tasks such as unpacking, arranging fiberglass pallet material, and restocking supplies as necessary
• Managing scrap material and trash disposal
• Conducting checks and light maintenance on forklifts
• Utilizes tools and maintains accountability for their usage
• Loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently
• Transporting stock throughout the warehouse using forklifts or similar equipment.
• Operating forklifts, and other machinery, controlling switches, loading and unloading pallets, and organizing materials within the warehouse or assembly areas.
• Labeling and sorting inbound and outbound shipments, as well as relocating items within the facility
• Monitoring inventory levels of incoming and outgoing items
• Handling fiberglass materials on a daily basis
• Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
• Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment safely
• Ability to accurately follow instructions
• Capacity to lift, carry, and move heavy objects repeatedly
• Flexibility to work in various departments
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other personnel
• Knowledge of safety protocols
• Capability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibilities
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 6:00AM - 2:30PM with a 30 minute meal break. Must be available to provide occasional after-hours support and be on call one weekend a month during maintenance cycles.
CLASSIFICATION
Full-Time Hourly
1st Shift 6:30 am - 3:00 pm, M - F
2nd Shift 3:30 pm - 2:00 am, M - TH
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 year forklift experience
• Forklift certification preferable
• Shipping and receiving experience preferable
WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE
Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
