Are you an experienced Fiber Splicer looking for an opportunity to travel, work on cutting-edge network infrastructure, and be part of large-scale data center and hyperscale projects? We are seeking motivated Fiber Splicers who take pride in delivering high-quality fiber installations while maintaining the highest standards of safety, productivity, and craftsmanship.

In this role, you'll be responsible for preparing, splicing, testing, troubleshooting, and documenting fiber optic cable installations in both indoor and outdoor environments. You will work on complex projects involving high-count fiber networks supporting mission-critical communications infrastructure across the country.


What You'll DoFiber Splicing & Installation
  • Perform fusion splicing on loose tube, ribbon, and high-density fiber optic cables.
  • Work with both single-mode and multi-mode fiber, including cable counts from 12-count to 6912-count.
  • Prepare, clean, secure, route, and organize fiber optic cables within:
    • Data centers
    • Fiber cabinets
    • Splice enclosures
    • Fiber panels and trays
    • Pedestals and outside plant infrastructure
  • Ensure all fiber installations meet customer, company, and industry standards.
Testing & Troubleshooting
  • Perform Tier 1 certification testing using OLTS equipment.
  • Perform Tier 2 testing using OTDR equipment.
  • Utilize visual fault locators and other fiber testing tools.
  • Identify and resolve fiber optic network issues including:
    • High-loss events
    • Broken fibers
    • Crossed fibers
    • Dirty connectors
    • Documentation discrepancies
Documentation & Quality Control
  • Read, interpret, and update:
    • Splice matrices
    • Engineering drawings
    • Cable schematics
    • Test reports
    • As-built documentation
  • Maintain accurate splice records, production reports, test results, and daily work logs.
  • Support project closeout activities and quality assurance requirements.
Team Collaboration & Safety
  • Coordinate with Foremen, Supervisors, Project Managers, customers, and field personnel.
  • Participate in all required safety training programs.
  • Follow company, customer, and site-specific safety policies.
  • Maintain tools, vehicles, and testing equipment in safe working condition.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support project success.

What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on fiber optic splicing and testing experience.
  • Experience working in one or more of the following environments:
    • Data Centers
    • Hyperscale Facilities
    • ISP Networks
    • OSP Construction
    • FTTH/FTTx Deployments
  • Minimum 2 years of experience utilizing OTDR, OLTS, and Visual Fault Locator equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret:
    • Fiber schematics
    • Engineering drawings
    • Splice records
    • Work prints
    • Project documentation
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience with large-count fiber projects and hyperscale data center environments.
  • Knowledge of fiber color codes, cable construction, connector types, splice trays, enclosures, and cable management best practices.

Travel Requirements

This is a 100% travel role supporting projects throughout the United States.

Candidates must be comfortable with:

  • Extended travel assignments lasting several weeks or months
  • Working in both indoor and outdoor environments

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
