Job description

Responsibilities

As an Aerial Foreman, you’ll support various projects through all phases of telecom construction. You take pride in doing the job right and leading from the front.

What you’ll do:

  • Install and repair aerial fiber cable while maintaining safety and quality standards
  • Train and support crew; work alongside them to ensure they have the tools/resources to work safely and efficiently
  • Travel approximately 50% throughout MN and WI
  • Place, relocate, and remove poles, lines, and wire to maintain system performance
  • Set up and maintain safe work zones (cones, signage, barriers)
  • Review project plans and ensure builds meet design specs
  • Lead and direct daily job site activities
  • Complete required documentation and track crew time
  • Communicate with Area Supervisor/Manager
  • Oversee crew schedules, material deliveries, and daily productivity

  • You will have 3+ years of experience in telecommunications construction
  • You know the telecom construction industry: Coax Splicing, Fiber Splicing, Directional Drilling, Aerial and Underground Construction, etc.
  • You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work
  • You are comfortable working in a bucket truck and climbing poles
  • You have knowledge and understanding of OSHA safety requirements to complete the job(s) safely
  • You have a strong knowledge of CATV building practices and CTV/Aerial field equipment
  • You have OSHA 10 training, CPR, and flagging certification 
  • You are able to operate a digger, a Derek truck
  • You are able to lift up to 70 lbs
  • You are able to work and climb up to 35 feet
  • You are able to read and understand work orders and CTV cable prints
  • You are able to work on call, including evenings and weekends, as needed
  • You are comfortable working under pressure and in a fast-paced and quickly changing environment
  • You are comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • You have demonstrated leadership skills 
  • You have a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a DOT med card for driving purposes (CDL preferred; applicants are subject to an MVR review, and must meet company standards for a safe driving record)
  • Have at least 1 year of experience in a leadership role 
  • Can read work orders, blueprints, and cable prints
  • Open to travel M-F per diem (50+ hours per week, depending on the weather), and working overtime consistently

Compensation of $30-$35 per hour, based on licenses and the experience.
