What is a fiber sales?

A Fiber Sales job involves selling high-speed fiber-optic internet services to residential or business customers. Sales representatives educate potential clients on the benefits of fiber-optic technology, such as faster speeds and reliability, and help them choose the best plans. This role typically includes prospecting new customers, handling inquiries, and meeting sales targets. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential for success in this position.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in fiber sales?

To thrive as a Fiber Sales professional, you need a solid understanding of fiber optic products and services, excellent sales acumen, and experience in B2B or B2C sales, often supported by a background in telecommunications or related certifications. Outstanding interpersonal skills, persistence, and persuasive communication help set top performers apart in this role. These competencies ensure you can effectively identify client needs, build strong relationships, and close deals in a competitive tech-driven market.

What are some common challenges faced by fiber sales professionals, and how can they be overcome?

Fiber Sales professionals often encounter challenges such as educating potential customers about the benefits of fiber technology, overcoming objections related to price or installation logistics, and navigating highly competitive markets. To address these, successful salespeople stay up to date on product advancements, tailor their approach to each client's needs, and maintain strong follow-up practices. Additionally, collaborating with technical teams helps in providing accurate solutions and building customer trust. With effective training and persistence, these challenges can become opportunities for strengthening client relationships and achieving sales targets.

Who we are

Vero Fiber is hiring door-to-door fiber internet sales representatives nationwide. From now to Jan 1 hit 200 verified installs and we fly you to Vegas for UFC weekend. Flights. Hotel. Fights. On us.

Job Title: Fiber Internet Sales Representative
14-Day Elite Training Boot Camp | Uncapped Commission | The Vero 200 Runs September 1 to January 1

A͟P͟P͟L͟Y͟ ͟T͟O͟D͟A͟Y͟ ͟T͟H͟R͟O͟U͟G͟H͟ ͟J͟A͟N͟U͟A͟R͟Y͟ ͟2͟0͟2͟7͟ ͟-͟ ͟U͟F͟C͟ ͟W͟e͟e͟k͟e͟n͟d
Sell fiber. Fly with (and on) us to see the UFC fight in Vegas. (About 12 installs a week and you're on the plane.)

Why Vero?

-No experience required. Warm doors, a proven script, sell your favorite ISP's (Verizon, At&t, and more).

-14-Day Elite Training Boot Camp: hands-on coaching, role play, and supervised field work from day one. Elite training, proven pitch, warm doors.

-Transparent Uncapped Commission. Every sale and commission runs through our custom technology Fiber Pay, see your receipts verified against ISP pay files. No screenshot disputes. No inflated counts. You see the same numbers we do.

-Make more than you ever have. Your ceiling is your work rate. No hourly, no salary, no cap. What you put on the board is what you get paid on.

Why Sell Fiber, right now?

Unlike solar, security, or pest control, fast internet is a necessity, not an upgrade. Homeowners need it, providers are building it out nationally, and in most markets install is free with no contract. Fiber removes most of the logical reasons to say no, which means the conversation at the door starts a lot warmer than what you may have run before.

You'll have the opportunity to work with providers including Verizon, AT&T, Frontier, Brightspeed, T-Mobile Fiber, Kinetic, Gateway Fiber, Astound, Sparklight, Lyte Fiber, Clearnetworx, and DIRECTV Stream. Provider, offer, and pay plan vary by market and campaign.

What You'll Do

  • Work assigned neighborhoods in active fiber markets
  • Talk with homeowners face to face about their current internet
  • Check address eligibility and explain available plans
  • Walk qualified customers through the signup process
  • Submit accurate sales information
  • Show up for the 14-Day Elite Training Boot Camp and ongoing field coaching
  • Represent Vero and our provider partners professionally

How to Earn The Fight and Flight to Vegas: The Vero 200

This campaign incentive runs September 1 to January 1. Your goal is 200 verified installs. But along the way up the ladder, Vero's transparent with what you can expect:

  • $500 cash at 25 verified installs.
  • Vegas and UFC weekend at 200 verified installs, or at 100 installs + three recruits at 50 each. So, producers fly. Builders fly too.
  • Podium finishers take $3,000, $2,000, and $1,000 stacked on top.

Two hundred sounds like a wall until you do the math. About 12 installs a week and you're on the plane to Vegas.

The Travel

Active markets include Minnesota, Alabama, New Jersey, Texas, Idaho and Utah, with blitz events that move. Expect multiple weeks per month away from home. Market assignments and travel logistics get covered on your call.

You do not need reliable transportation, tell us on a call and we may be able to help get you to active markets. You do need a smartphone. This is not a remote position, we travel to warm doors as a team.

Compensation

This is a 1099 independent contractor position paid through commission. There is no hourly wage or guaranteed salary, and nothing is withheld, so plan to set aside your own taxes.

Current compensation structure:

  • First 14 days: $75 per qualified sale
  • After the initial evaluation period: $200+ per qualified sale, depending on the provider, campaign, and pay plan
  • Additional performance incentives may be available

All representatives begin on the rookie pay scale. Full rates, payment schedule, sale qualification requirements, cancellation policies, and any chargeback terms are walked through before onboarding. Nothing about your pay plan gets held back until after you sign.

Actual earnings vary based on performance, qualified sales, customer installations, cancellations, and time spent in the field. No income amount is guaranteed.

What is the 14-Day Elite Training Boot Camp

Two weeks of coaching from the President of Sales, Mitch, on field work, our proven script, objection handling, and getting better every day. You aren't going to spend your first week in a classroom.

We'll teach you:

  • The fiber offer and the Vero pitch structure
  • How to approach homeowners and open a conversation
  • How to handle common objections
  • How to stay professional after a no
  • How to move qualified customers through signup

We'll evaluate:

  • Work ethic and effort in the field
  • Attendance and communication
  • Honesty with customers
  • Improvement day to day
  • Reliability as a teammate

We'll teach the sales skills. The work ethic and consistency come from you.

FAQ Answers

Do I need sales or fiber experience? No. The 14-Day Elite Training Boot Camp gives you hands-on coaching, door-to-door role play practice, and supervised field work from day one.

Is this a W-2 job? No. 1099 independent contractor, commission only. No hourly, no salary, no cap. Full rates and terms are shown on your call.

How much travel is real travel? Real. Multiple weeks per month in active markets, with blitz events that move. Worth knowing before you apply, not after.

How do I know my numbers are right? Installs are verified against ISP pay files, the same source that pays your commission. A sale counts once it becomes a verified install.
What's a verified install? A verified install is a sale that gets activated and confirmed against the internet provider's own pay files. Same source that pays your commission.
