Job description

Fiber Network Services is a communications contractor offering a full range of fiber optic and cable network services. Servicing Cox Communications, Comcast Cable, Segra and Suddenlink in the States of Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, Tennessee, Florida, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and in Washington D.C., we are a trusted resource for cabling and maintaining high-speed internet connectivity via fiber optic and coaxial systems.
FNS is looking to hire experienced In-house Aerial Lineman to work with our Cinnaminson, NJ team. You'll join an existing team working many types of HFC/Broadband projects to include, BAU, spans, relos, Hyperbuild, Newbuild, Metro-E, etc. You will report to Project Management.
Job Responsibilities (But not limited to)
  • Read HFC maps / prints to understand project scope
  • Climb poles, utilizing Gaffs, Ladder and a Bucket Truck to perform work where required
  • Maintain visual and vocal contact with other crew members as well as all moving or stationary people, vehicles, and objects in order to guarantee safe movement coordination.
  • Recognize and enforce Safe working environments in Public Right-of-Way environments to include worksite traffic-control best practices.
  • Produce accurate post-construction as-built mark-up maps. Typically, through red-lined PDF files.
  • Provide daily production reports via email/excel or additional tracking methods.
  • Maintaining aerial specifications when placing overhead lines.
Job Requirements:
  • Knowledge of HFC design
  • Aerial Fiber / Coax construction experience
  • Ability to read and understand technical instruction
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others and work within a team environment
  • Ability to occasionally be On-Call for after-hours emergency work
  • Possession of a valid Driver's license
  • Ability to pass a drug screening
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds or more
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D
