Join Our Team as a Fiber Maintenance Technician at Trico Electric Cooperative! Posting Period: Tuesday June 16th - Wednesday July 1st

Hourly Wage: $49.40 - $52.00

What You Will Do: 

The Fiber Splicer/OSP Maintenance Technician is responsible for the reliability and performance of the Cooperative's fiber network. This position performs fusion splicing, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and restoration work on aerial, underground, and direct-buried fiber plant. The role supports construction closeouts and quality control, coordinates restoration activities with internal teams and contractors, and ensures safe work practices and excellent member experience.

 

What You Bring to Trico:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent with at least five (5) years fiber splicing/maintenance experience on FTTH networks.
  2. Valid and driver's license; CDL or ability to obtain preferred
  3. FOA CFOT or similar certification or Light Brigade "Fiber Optics for Utilities" training preferred.
  4. Completion of a two-year EDS, UST, or related program with at least 1 year of relevant experience or, at least 3 years of consecutive aerial and/or underground utility construction experience.
  5. Experience in Fiber construction in electric utility power space preferred.
