About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Fiber Network Operations Manager to lead the strategic planning, execution, and optimization of fiber-optic network infrastructure across customer and enterprise environments. This leadership role is pivotal in ensuring high-performance connectivity, operational excellence, and continuous service improvement. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of technical acumen, team leadership, and strategic foresight to drive innovation and reliability in our fiber network operations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, deployment, and maintenance of fiber-optic networks across multiple states.
  • Manage and mentor field supervisors, technicians, and support staff to ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery.
  • Oversee network performance monitoring, diagnostics, and resolution of complex infrastructure issues.
  • Develop and manage budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for fiber projects.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and internal quality benchmarks.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Implement and refine operational processes to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Provide strategic input to senior leadership on infrastructure investments, risk mitigation, and technology upgrades.
Experience & QualificationsRequired
  • 4+ years of experience in fiber-optic network operations, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • 3+ years in a supervisory or managerial role overseeing technical teams.
  • Deep understanding of fiber technologies, network architecture, and performance monitoring tools.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry certifications such as CFOT (Certified Fiber Optic Technician), or relevant credentials from NCTI, SCTE.
  • Familiarity with GIS mapping tools, CMMS platforms, and network design software.
