Job description

Description:

We are looking for a motivated general laborer to join our team here at Thermo Vac, Inc. Duties of the General Laborer include grinding, deburring, sanding and sandblasting. Previous experience in painting, welding, fitting, and logging labor hours into a computer is a plus. The ideal candidate would be open and willing to learn all positions at the facility for the opportunity to grow!

Requirements:

General Laborer Responsibilities:

  • Use protective clothing (face-shield/safety glasses, gloves etc.)
  • Follow safe work practices
  • Stand for long periods of time, climb up and down ladders, bend, grasp, sit, pull, push, stoop, and stretch
  • Cleaning up and packaging material for shipment
  • Operate angle grinders
  • Operate and maintain blasting equipment safely and efficiently
  • Use MRP (computer software) to log labor hours
  • Keep station clean and organized
  • Work all required shift hours and overtime when necessary
  • Willing to learn new skills

General Laborer Requirements:

  • Experience using electrical and manual tools (saws, grinders, squares, tape measure, etc.)
  • Computer efficient
  • Knowledge of relative safety standards
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Painting experience is a plus
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and processes
  • Capable of standing for long periods of time
  • Strong work ethic
