Job description

About the Position

The incumbent will work to support pricing initiatives, vendor bidding and selection processes, vendor evaluation processes, program pricing, responding to sourcing requests, vendor management and managing established FF&E project.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, manage, analyze vendor performance to help to ensure effective delivery and quality of product and service to our stakeholder, and improve supply chain process seamlessly operate.
  • Respond to sourcing needs to provide resources for project and design.
  • Perform pricing analysis on active projects against contracted FF&E quotes.
  • Key internal clients of the FF&E Sourcing team include Design and technical service team.
  • Work with Strategic Sourcing Director to achieve HPI business objectives through projects.
  • Develop and issue RFP/RFQ materials for pricing analysis and vendor selection, and project manage incoming bids and samples for review and analysis by Strategic Sourcing Director and interior design team.
  • Regularly manage and maintain active pricing databases and published materials to support the project.
  • Coordinate with vendors as needed on property issues and problem resolution to foster project success. Will work with vendors on resolution of issues at the property level.
  • Monitor the performance of suppliers against contractual standards and collaborate with vendors to achieve continuous improvements in costs and performance.
  • Attend industry events and other opportunities to grow a robust potential vendor network.
  • Visit current and potential manufacturer partner factory locations to evaluate production quality, systems, and production potential, and foster vendor partnerships.
  • This role requires travel up to 25% of the time, including occasional trips with short notice.

Key Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of strategic sourcing process, procedures, and contracts.
  • FF&E market awareness and industry trends (opportunities, competition, long-range forecasts).
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing sources/costs (materials, commodities, labor, facilities, special technologies, manufacturing processes and services).
  • Understanding of product development, processes, and related functions (Purchasing, Marketing, and Distribution).
  • Must be highly organized and able to manage multiple initiatives at once.
  • Must have highly developed communication and relationship skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented and extremely skilled at managing financial data.
  • Must be able to work effectively with minimal oversight.
  • Builds and manages strong relationships with multiple competing suppliers, optimizing performance within category segments.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience sourcing FF&E or related interior design experience, required.
  • A demonstrated understanding of Hospitality FF&E procurement and project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, multi-task.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and nurture strong partnerships across different constituencies including internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Possesses good written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong PC Skills (MS Office).
  • Excellent leadership, problem solving, project management and presentation skills.
