    Fertilizer Plant Superintendent
    REPORTS TO: Location Manager
    DEPARTMENT: Fertilizer Department
    EEO Classification: Operative (semi-skilled)
    Primary Purpose: Ensure safe and efficient operation of fertilizer plant equipment and personnel.
    General Description: Receive ship, monitor, blend fertilizer, condition and quality as well as maintain equipment in operational condition while following all Company, State and Federal Rules, Regulations, Policies and Procedures.
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
    1. Ensure safety compliance, through plant inspections, near miss and unsafe condition reporting and direct communication with supervisor in regards to safety.
    2. Follow all State and Federal DOT Rules and Regulations.
    3. Read, understand and follow all Ray-Carroll County Grain Growers, Inc. Policies and Procedures.
    4. Comply with all Company, State and Federal Rules, Regulations and Policies.
    5. Operate all equipment & vehicles according to Ray-Carroll County Grain Growers, Inc. Policies and Procedures along with local, state and federal laws.
    6. Assist and follow preventive maintenance program and document activity.
    7. Assist in coordinating inbound fertilizer receiving activities and segregation of fertilizer.
    8. Assist in monitoring outside contractors and follow up with documentation.
    9. Assist in housekeeping & maintenance of the facility grounds including mowing, spraying weeds, and moving snow
    10. Communicate daily, activities and goals, needs and accomplishments with location manager.
    11. Location leadership role of fertilizer quality, inventory control and safety compliance initiatives.
    12. Maintain and record preventative maintenance and housekeeping records in the appropriate recording system. (Documentation).
    13. Maintain facility appearance and operational condition.
    14. Understand inventory and measurement procedures.
    15. Work the amount of hours needed to complete appropriate duties and responsibilities which may involve overtime (early morning and/or late evening) hours.
    16. Provide assistance on facility improvements and capital expenditures with location manager and operation manager.
    17. Help implement goals for location and self-improvement goals.
    18. Demonstrate work habits that develop, build and support the team concept at Ray-Carroll.
    19. Courteously and efficiently receive and disburse fertilizer.
    20. Operate receiving control room.
    21. Perform critical operations to keep facility running safely & efficiently.
    22. Maintain the general appearance of the facility to include elevator, grounds and buildings etc.
    23. Ability to work in a fertilizer handling environment.
    24. Ability to operate heavy machinery and equipment...
    25. Self-motivated and has the ability to work by you and with a team.
    26. Ability to work outside in all types of weather.

    OTHER DUTIES:
    1. Able to build morale and group commitments to achieve goals and objectives.
    2. Exhibit sound and accurate judgment.
    3. Project a positive attitude to customers and employees at all times.
    4. Provide courteous customer service.
    5. Report even minor injuries using the employee injury report form.
    6. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    Qualifications: Reliable vehicle to drive to and from work, valid state motor vehicle license, 20/20 vision in both eyes, with corrective lenses (if applicable).
