Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer (Hybrid) to be based in Orange, CA. You will be joining a global Ports and Harbors team of 500+ maritime specialists who support a wide range of maritime developments including container terminals, LNG facilities, waterfront developments, cruise and ferry terminals, marinas and harbors as well as coastal schemes such as beach development and coastal protection schemes.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Undertaking design activities on maritime projects - container terminals, mining/bulk, oil/gas, marinas, ports and harbors, coastal defense and development schemes
  • Civil design for terminals across the United States
  • Independently prepare engineering related calculations and develop civil technical specifications, plans, and details
  • Provides guidance to entry level engineers
  • Independently perform all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field and 4+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Valid Driver’s license required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineering (PE) License
  • 6+ years of Civil design experience
  • Proficient in CAD and design software.
  • Proficient in C3D/OpenRoads
  • Experience with Civil Engineering Plans, Specifications and Estimate development.  
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience in the design of marine terminals
  • Enthusiastic, hard-working, technically proficient, with ambition and drive
