Job description

 About the Role

 Fenner Precision Polymers is seeking a dedicated and mechanically inclined Operator to join our Eagle Extrusion team. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring extrusion and secondary machines to produce high-quality belting products. You will also utilize automated equipment to fabricate endless belts that meet customer specifications.

This position offers career progression through three levels, starting at Level 1, with opportunities to grow and develop within the organization.

 Key Responsibilities – Level 1 Operator

 Set up and tear down extrusion lines (Crosshead, Dies, and tooling) safely and efficiently.

  • Operate machines to produce a variety of products to specification.
  • Read and interpret product prints and perform quality checks using instruments such as dial calipers and micrometers.
  • Understand and follow ISO work instructions and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
  • Move raw materials and finished goods appropriately within the production area.
  • Label and prep raw materials for drying and processing.
  • Maintain a current forklift license and operate equipment safely.
  • Perform secondary production processes such as Driver Pad Drilling.
  • Fabricate o-rings and profile belts using automated and manual methods.
  • Perform butt welding and assess weld quality.
  • Accurately record production data in the DSI shop floor control system.
  • Follow packaging standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment through regular housekeeping and 6S audits.
  • Uphold Fenner Precision Polymers’ Values and Behaviors at all times.

 Qualifications

 High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing or machine operation environment.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
