Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

Empire is looking for local and traveling commercial fence technicians to join our team. This position requires a construction or landscaping minded individual who can travel to venues across the country and install multiple styles of fence, railing, gates and more. Uses safe methods when handling tools and equipment. Supports the management and mission of the company. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, detail oriented and like "thinking outside the box"

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Qualifications
    • US work authorization is required.
    • High School or equivalent is preferred.
    • Driver’s License (Preferred, CDL class A is a plus)
    • Exhibit regular and prompt attendance.
    • Able to meet physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to prolonged periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.), lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
    • Demonstrate ability to work independently while also able to work in a team setting.
    • Ability to use a variety of hand tools and all power tools.
    • Ability to operate heavy equipment, i.e., skid loader, telescoping boom lift, etc.
    • Welding knowledge or experience is a plus.
    • Willingness to travel
  • Responsibilities
    • This position requires a construction minded individual with a growth mindset.
    • Follow job plans and blueprints.
    • Plan, layout, dig and set posts in concrete.
    • Install and repair all styles of commercial/industrial fence.
    • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.
    • Perform maintenance on equipment to keep in a satisfactory working condition.
    • Additional tasks as assigned.
