TruBlue of Frisco, Prosper, & Celina is hiring for a Lead Home Service Technician (Handyman/Handywoman/Contractor).

Role Overview
This role is for a skilled professional responsible for performing a wide range of home repair, upgrade, and maintenance tasks while leading by example in quality, professionalism, and customer service. This role combines hands-on technical work with leadership duties such as delivering and executing larger projects, mentoring junior technicians, ensuring job site efficiency, completing project estimates, and communicating with customers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of skilled repair and maintenance tasks, and general handyman work including
    • Bathroom and kitchen upgrades
    • Drywall repair and patching
    • Tile/Flooring installation and repair
    • General carpentry/Fence Repair
    • Interior and exterior painting
    • Basic plumbing and electrical
  • Lead and supervise on-site work, ensuring jobs are completed on time and to high standards
  • Train and mentor junior technicians and apprentices
  • Support home safety and accessibility for seniors aging in place
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers about scope of work, timelines, and project updates
  • Ensure job sites are clean, organized, and safe at all times
  • Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and time spent on jobs
  • Represent the company positively in customer homes and within the community
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Passionate about delivering great customer experiences
  • Proficient in multiple trades (e.g., carpentry, general maintenance, light plumbing and electrical, painting, drywall, tiling)
  • High attention to detail and craftsmanship
  • 5-10 years of hands-on home repair or construction experience
  • Experience managing or mentoring other technicians is preferred
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in project estimating or quoting jobs
  • Relevant trade certifications or licenses preferred with the ability to pull municipal permits as needed
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and organized
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and standard tools - full handyman toolset preferred but not required.
  • Fluent in English and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
