Stuart Country Day School | Princeton, NJ

Position: Athletic Trainer
Location: Princeton, NJ 08540
Season: August 17, 2026 – June 4, 2027
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Compensation: $45/hour

About the Role

Stuart Country Day School is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Athletic Trainer to support the health, safety, and performance of our Middle School and High School female student-athletes during the 2026–2027 school year.

The Athletic Trainer will work closely with coaches, student-athletes, families, and school administrators to provide injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and return-to-play support across our athletic programs. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who is passionate about helping young athletes compete safely while promoting lifelong health and wellness.

Responsibilities
  • Provide athletic training coverage for Middle School and High School athletic practices and competitions.
  • Evaluate and assess athletic injuries and determine appropriate treatment plans.
  • Administer first aid and emergency care for athletic injuries as needed.
  • Develop and oversee injury prevention, rehabilitation, and return-to-play programs.
  • Maintain accurate injury documentation and treatment records.
  • Communicate effectively with coaches, parents, physicians, and school administrators regarding athlete health and recovery.
  • Educate student-athletes on injury prevention, conditioning, hydration, nutrition, and overall wellness.
  • Monitor and maintain athletic training equipment, supplies, and treatment areas.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies and best practices in sports medicine and athlete safety.
Schedule
  • School Year: August 17, 2026 – June 4, 2027
  • Hours: Monday–Friday
  • Typical Schedule: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
  • Additional coverage for select athletic events may be required throughout the school year.
Qualifications
  • Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) through the Board of Certification (BOC).
  • Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications.
  • Eligible for or currently licensed to practice athletic training in the State of New Jersey.
  • Experience working with middle school and/or high school athletes preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of injury prevention, evaluation, rehabilitation, and emergency care.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with student-athletes, families, coaches, and medical professionals.
Compensation
  • $45 per hour
