Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) – Female Caregiver Needed (Hourly Position)

Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Pay: $20/hour
Location: In-Person
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and reliable Female Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to provide quality in-home care for a male client. We need someone who can work Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 12pm to 4pm. The ideal candidate is dedicated to helping individuals maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life and has their own vehicle. 

Requirements
  • Current New Jersey CHHA certification (required)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Minimum 1 year of caregiving experience required
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred
  • Ability to work assigned shifts and maintain a consistent schedule
Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance
  • Provide companionship and emotional support
  • Monitor and report changes in the client's condition, behavior, or overall well-being
  • Assist with medication reminders and administration according to care plans and agency guidelines
  • Support clients with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, memory care needs, and other cognitive challenges
  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, tidying, and maintaining a safe home environment
  • Document care provided accurately using agency documentation systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
  • Accompany clients to appointments, errands, or community activities as needed
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and documentation practices
  • Experience working with individuals with dementia-is a plus
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and follow care plans effectively
  • Physical ability to assist with transfers and lift up to 50 pounds when required
