We're looking for a Patient Registration Coordinator who can serve as the welcoming face of BHG. With us, you'll play a critical role in serving patients throughout their recovery journey by being the first face they see, ensuring successful patient processing, and verifying patient eligibility. What You'll Do
Provide Care
  • Be one of the first friendly faces patients and visitors see, creating a warm and professional experience from the moment they arrive.
  • Register new and returning patients while verifying demographic, insurance, and identification information.
  • Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and prior authorizations to help patients understand their coverage.
  • Clearly explain insurance benefits, financial responsibilities, and payment expectations, answering questions with empathy and professionalism.
  • Collect patient payments, including copays, deductibles, and coinsurance, while accurately processing daily financial transactions.
  • Answer incoming phone calls promptly and provide helpful, compassionate support.
  • Build positive, professional relationships with patients while protecting their privacy and maintaining accountability.
  • Support compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

Manage Documentation & Inventory
  • Prepare and distribute weekly reports and generate monthly statements when needed.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and help ensure the security of clinic funds.
  • Process third-party reimbursements, including Medicaid, when applicable.
  • Support daily office operations through filing, scanning, copying, and data entry.
  • Assist with census reporting and caseload tracking.
  • Maintain office supplies and coordinate supply orders.
  • Perform work-related errands, including mail delivery and bank deposits.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of experience as a general office clerk with basic math, accounting skills, and cash handling experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Experience in front desk, admissions, billing, and/or collections.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in healthcare.
  • Knowledge and use of typical office equipment (calculator, fax machine, copier, computer, telephone, postage meter, scales, scanner, and computer programs).
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Accurate data entry and basic keyboarding skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to enforce fee collection policies.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Fast-paced clinical environment with period of increased activity.
  • Exposure to patients with substance use disorders, mental health conditions, infectious diseases, and criminal justice involvement.
  • Prolonged standing, bending, and stooping.
  • Alternating between sitting and standing throughout the workday.
