Job description

Pillen Family Farms is a family owned business located in Nebraska. We market approximately 2 million pigs annually. As a family-owned and family-focused farming operation, great care goes into everything we do. From family members to team members, to even our pigs we believe in treating others with respect and as part of our family.

Job Description:

  • Feed mill delivery drivers deliver feed to our pigs, in well-maintained, company-provided trucks/trailers, 4-5 times a week, from our feed mill to designated farm sites.
  • Feed mill drivers don't judge a good day by the amount of miles covered; rather by the impact they made to the team.
  • You have the ability to communicate with farm leadership, feed mill team members and recognize "the right feed to right pigs at the right time" as your goal.
  • Feed mill drivers work in two basic shifts, each with normal start times and various completion times. Feed mill drivers enjoy the regularity of this position, allowing time at home for family and other activities.

Requirements:

  • Clean driving record, flexible schedule, and be comfortable driving in winter road conditions.
  • Must also be comfortable driving long distances between stops.
  • When required: walking, standing, squatting, kneeling, climbing, using hands/tools to assist.
  • Attention to detail and a focus on working safely is a must-have for this position.
  • Comply with all bio-security, safety, and animal welfare policies.
  • Experience driving fifth wheel trailers preferred.
  • CDL and Motor Vehicle Record Report Required.
