Job Summary
This position is meant for acurrent OTA Program student to work exclusively with the SLCC OTA program. The primary focus of this position will be on recruitment, marketing, and managing a communications plan to help promote the visibility of the program.Additionalduties will includehelpingrun theSLCC OT/PT Pro Bono clinic,clericalduties,event planning, inventory and equipment management, and otherdutiesassigned.This positionshould be available toworkapproximately 20 hoursaweekbetween and afterclasses Monday through Fridaywith some occasional remote work assigned.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities & Knowledge Skills & Abilities
  • Workdirectly withthe OTA Program CoordinatorandHealth SciencesAdmissions and Marketing team to implement and maintain a communications plan to promote program visibility and recruitment.
  • Utilize multiple software applications including many apps in the Microsoft 360 package such as Excel, Microsoft Forms, Microsoft Teams, Word, and Bookings as well as learn how to program and utilize the clinic Medical Check-In Software to track client data
  • Act as a liaison between SLCCSOTA clubofficers, OTA Program student body, and the OTA program faculty.
  • Assistin organizing marketing and collaborative events and provide tours oftheprogram toprospectivestudents interested inOccupational Therapy.
  • Professional representation of SLCC and our programs to the community
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for effective interpersonal communication
  • Ability to work autonomously

Minimum qualifications
  • Eligible for Work-Study (FAFSA)
  • Currently enrolled at SLCC as an undergraduate student and in good academic standing (i.e., 2.0 GPA or higher)
  • Acceptanceinto the SLCCOTA Program
  • Basiccomputer skills, knowledge ofsocial mediaoperations,and functions.

  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Ability to work the hours mentioned above

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previousoffice administration work preferred, but notrequired
  • Advanced knowledge of social media operations and functions as it relates to marketing strategies and current trends.
  • Conversational Spanish
