Job description

Job Title: Residential Life Work Study
Location: Marshalltown Community College
Department: Housing
Reports to: ECC Campus Office Associate
Semester: Fall 2026
Number of Openings: 10
Rate of Pay: $9.00 per hour
Summary: The Desk Assistant Staff work in the Residential Hall Office and Student Union and support the administrative aspects of Residence Life. DA(s) check in mail and packages, assist residential students, provide general information and customer service as required, perform clerical tasks, provide backup to for cleaning Union tables and assist in maintaining a healthy living environment within residence. The DA staff will take part in a training program and support the Resident Assistant Staff in fulfillment of basic community building aspects.
Essential Job Duties:
  • Check in mail and packages
  • Assist residential students
  • Provide general information and customer service as required
  • Perform clerical tasks
  • Provide backup to for cleaning Union tables
  • Other duties as assigned.

Abilities: Applicants must maintain a 2.5 GPA and be qualified for Federal Work Study
Education and Experience: HS Diploma or equivalent
