Job Summary

We are looking for a Tax Senior to join our High Net Worth (Family Wealth Services) practice group. The candidate will prepare and perform technical review on high‑net‑worth individuals, related family partnerships and trust tax returns to ensure compliance with state and federal tax regulations. Tasks also include preparing complex level tax returns, reviewing basic engagements, calculating quarterly estimates and providing year‑end tax planning. The Tax Senior sustains excellent customer relationships and supervises, motivates and develops our tax associates.

Responsibilities
  • Perform tax, gift and estate compliance services to individuals, family limited partnerships and trusts
  • Continuously expand individual, gift, trust and estate tax knowledge, and overall professional development
  • Perform technical reviews of individual tax returns
  • Gather data from customers and/or third‑party sources
  • Perform basic tax research to support tax return positions
  • Resolve all open items/issues encountered on assigned engagements
  • Actively monitor engagement economics by managing budgets and seeking efficiencies
  • Direct and control concurrent assignments to successful completion
  • Develop and lead associates through engagements, delegating assignments and tasks when appropriate
  • Provide honest, objective and constructive feedback in a timely manner to associates
  • Collaborate to identify and sell opportunities among existing customers
  • Serve as a mentor through active participation in firm committees, departmental matters and events
  • Actively recruit new and experienced associates
  • Other duties within the scope of the practice
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Law; Master’s degree in Tax or LLM in Tax preferred
  • 2+ years of recent public accounting firm experience
  • Experience working with individual tax returns
  • Gift, trust, estate and family limited partnership tax experience a plus
  • Significant progress toward EA license or CPA certification preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Effective analytical and problem‑solving ability
  • Strong time and work management skills
