Job description

Quality Assurance / Quality Inspector

Aerospace Manufacturing Environment

Position Summary

Responsible for ensuring aerospace components and manufactured parts meet quality standards, engineering specifications, and customer requirements. Supports inspection processes, documentation, non-conformance investigations, and compliance with AS9100 and aerospace quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections on machined and manufactured components

  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications

  • Verify dimensional accuracy using precision measuring tools such as:

    • calipers

    • micrometers

    • height gauges

    • comparators

    • CMM equipment

  • Document inspection results and maintain quality records

  • Ensure compliance with AS9100 / ISO standards

  • Conduct audits and support continuous improvement initiatives

  • Maintain traceability and documentation for aerospace components

  • Assist with root cause analysis and CAPA activities

Preferred Background

  • Aerospace manufacturing environment

  • Precision machining or metal fabrication

  • Fasteners, hardware, pins, locking mechanisms, or CNC-machined components

  • Experience supporting high-mix, low-volume manufacturing

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of quality assurance or quality inspection experience

  • Experience reading blueprints and GD&T required

  • Familiarity with AS9100 and ISO9001 standards

  • Experience using inspection equipment and metrology tools

  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills


Pay Details: $24.00 to $28.00 per hour
