Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is seeking a Personal Injury Attorney for a remote role in Miami.

Litigation Attorney (Florida-Licensed)

Remote | South Florida | Competitive Compensation + Bonus

We are a boutique, litigation-focused personal injury law firm seeking an experienced litigation attorney to join our team. This role is ideal for a lawyer who is responsible, hardworking and cares about both work product and winning. We give responsibility over files, but with accountability and policies and procedures.

The Role

You will handle cases from inception through resolution with hands-on responsibility (with oversight and assistance from other lawyers).

These functions include the following:

  • Investigate when a case comes in
  • Create the game plan
  • Draft the complaint
  • Draft and pursue discovery
  • Draft and argue motions
  • Take depositions
  • Work directly with clients
  • Collaborate closely with partners on litigation strategy
  • Participate in trials in both State and Federal courts.
  • Communicate timely with our partners, clients, referring attorneys, defense counsel

This is a primarily remote position. Candidates must reside in South Florida and be available for occasional in-person meetings, hearings, or proceedings. To stay aligned, our legal team meets daily via Zoom to coordinate priorities and workflow. We offer gradual and continuous training and mentoring through:

  • Daily 8:30 a.m. firm Zoom meetings
  • Practice and procedure modules
  • Templates for written discovery and deposition questions
  • Reading list of books and articles
  • Video list from critical seminars and speakers
  • Webinars
  • Seminars

Who We’re Looking For

Required

  • Licensed to practice law in Florida
  • At least 5 years in practice, with a minimum of 3 years in civil litigation
  • Strong research and writing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cases
  • Professional judgment, responsiveness, and attention to detail

Academic Credentials

Undergraduate degree earned with honors unless from a Top 75 University

And one of the following three:

      • Law degree earned from a law school ranked in the Top 50 in the US

Or

      • Law degree earned with honors from a law school ranked in the Top 100

Or

      • Law degree earned with high honors from law school not in the Top 100

Strongly Valued (but not required)

  • Clerkship with a Federal Judge or Magistrate Judge
  • Federal court experience
  • Experience with complex civil litigation
  • Significant motion practice and courtroom exposure
  • Experience at the U.S. Attorney’s Office or Federal Public Defender
  • Experience in boutique or high-quality defense firms seeking more challenging cases
  • Longevity (3+ years) in prior attorney positions
