Job Title

This position is responsible for assisting in keeping scores in various sports and helping with the operation and maintenance of the concession stand. Successful performance in this position contributes to an efficient and safe environment for the public. FLSA status is Non-Exempt.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

The following duties are normal for this classification. SCOREBOARD DUTIES (45%) Operate electronic score system. Keeps scorebooks for each game. CONCESSIONS DUTIES (45%) Sells concessions including soft drinks and food items to spectators at various events. Receives money and makes correct change for customers. Monitors money in the cash drawer to ensure adequate change is available. OTHER RELATED DUTIES (10%) Cleans concession stand area. Counts revenues as assigned by supervisor. Checking facilities and restrooms for cleanliness; restocking supplies as needed. Performs other duties as needed or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be at least fifteen (15) years of age. Basic knowledge and understanding of scoring used in sports preferred. Must have a valid drivers' license and/or dependable transportation.

Job duties may require the use of protective devices such as masks, goggles, gloves, etc. Job duties require the ability to deal with and relate to people beyond giving and receiving instructions. Job duties require the ability to talk, express, or exchange ideas by means of spoken words and/or hear and perceive the nature of sounds by ear. Job candidates must be able to adapt to and perform under moderate stress. Job duties require regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. Knowledge, skills, and abilities: City of Prattville employees are required to obtain knowledge of the City of Prattville Policies and Procedures and knowledge of their specific department rules, policies and procedures.
