Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and deploy Java RESTful services and microservices to support client applications.
  • Develop API standards, improve existing services, and collaborate with API developers across teams to build new features at large scale.
  • Create and review technical design documents, and translate detailed requirements into functional system designs.
  • Utilize DEVOPs tools such as Jenkins, uDeploy, and GIT to streamline deployment processes.
  • Work with open-source and library components to expedite development and enhance system capabilities.
  • Integrate applications with Oracle / SQL Server databases and work with containerization tools like OpenShift and Kubernetes.
  • Adhere to security best practices by coding to prevent hacking vulnerabilities.
  • Participate in Agile teams, providing technical expertise and effective communication across diverse groups.
Requirements
  • At least 6+ years of experience in Java API development, REST APIs, Spring Boot, XML, JSON, and Swagger.
  • Proven experience developing and consuming SOAP and REST web services in a production environment.
  • Experience working with OpenShift, Containerization, and Microservices architecture.
  • 3+ years of experience with GitHub, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of client-side technologies such as Node.js and Angular 8+.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Apache Kafka, and MongoDB.
  • Strong understanding of integrating Java applications with Oracle or SQL Server databases.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and writing skills in an Agile environment.
