Mozaic (a chapter of NYSARC) is hiring for a Part-Time Custodial Cleaner.

SUMMARY: To provide outdoor grounds maintenance and/or custodial duties for various locations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

In this role, you will perform a variety of essential duties to help maintain clean, safe, and well-kept environments. This includes completing outdoor tasks such as spring cleanup, leaf blowing, hedge trimming, raking, and pruning, as well as handling snow removal during winter months through shoveling and salting. You will be responsible for properly maintaining and cleaning equipment, reporting any damage promptly to your supervisor or crew leader, and communicating any problems, complaints, or incidents as they arise. Daily responsibilities may also include thoroughly cleaning and restocking restrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning windows, dusting surfaces, and ensuring all areas meet cleanliness standards. You'll manage waste removal and recycling, follow all safety procedures when using machinery and chemicals, and ensure no materials or equipment are left behind in work areas. Strong teamwork is essential, as you'll contribute to a collaborative, high-quality team environment while also working independently to complete assigned tasks efficiently and safely. Additional responsibilities may be assigned to support the overall success of the team.

Education and Experience: A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required, along with experience in grounds maintenance. Candidates must successfully complete multiple background checks.

Language Skills: Ability to read and follow safety guidelines, instructions, and material safety data sheets. Ability to write simple reports and communicate clearly with coworkers, customers, and supervisors.

Physical Requirements: This role requires regular standing and walking, frequent use of hands and arms, and lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment: Work takes place outdoors and in various conditions, including exposure to noise, dust, heat, and fumes, which may sometimes be uncomfortable.
