Job Description
Under general supervision, to perform a variety of instructional and/or operational duties in the Feather River Fitness Center, and to perform related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Specified positions must possess a valid California driver's license and have a satisfactory driving record
  • Be willing to work non-traditional shifts.
  • Basic customer service and custodial procedures.
  • Able to physically perform duties and assist customers with or without accommodations
  • Willing to have current CPR and first aid card

Desirable Qualifications
  • Equivalent to graduation from high school, with coursework or practical experience in fitness
  • Motivated, able to work without consistent supervision, organized, and dependable
  • Knowledge of Proper custodial and sanitation methods including the operation of standard fitness equipment

  • Vision sufficient to read computer screens, and handwritten and printed documents.

Salary Range
$16.50 per hour
Essential Duties
  • Responsible for various custodial duties including general sanitation of restrooms, spa, pool, weight room, cardio rooms, Cybex room, racquetball courts, and to perform duties as assigned.
  • Serves as a customer service representative; screens and routes calls and messages to the staff and management.
  • Be helpful and communicate clearly to members and guests.
  • Have basic knowledge of fitness, a gym setting, machines, etc.. and be able to answer questions members and guests may have.
  • Uses a variety of computer skills.
  • Willingness and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to oversee student workers.
