Job description

Friends of Firefighters is seeking a part-time Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) to contribute to our mission of delivering free mental health and wellness services to the FDNY community. This position will be responsible for providing services to family members of active and retired FDNY first responders. This is an ongoing contract engagement and has a flexible schedule.
Rate:
$37-45 per hour, dependent upon experience.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical learning needs assessments, functional assessments, and generate appropriate goals and objectives.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including progress notes and individualized treatment plans, in accordance with Friends of Firefighters policies and procedures.
  • Follow all applicable laws and regulations set forth by the State of New York, and all other applicable regulatory bodies.
  • Collaborate with other mental health professionals, medical professionals, and social service providers to ensure that clients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and Friends of Firefighters to provide education, support, and advocacy.
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards of practice.
  • Assist with the expansion of child-focused programmatic activities.
  • May include other duties as requested by Friends of Firefighters.

Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in behavioral analysis, education, psychology, or a related field
  • Certification of BCBA and License of NYS LBA (Licensed Behavior Analyst)
  • One year's experience of Applied Behavior Analysis or teaching children with disabilities preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and meet with clients in-person.
