Job description

The Line Service Technician represents Flexjet in a positive and professional manner while serving as the primary contact for our crew members. This role is primarily responsible for providing aviation ground support services to crew members by performing all facets of the ground handling operation, including, but not limited to: baggage/cargo handling, lavatory/potable water service and maintenance, ground support equipment operation, and maintenance.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide world-class service during every interaction with our crew members and clientele to maintain long term relationships
  • Marshal aircraft in and greet clientele and crew members in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Provide appropriate continuous assistance as necessary to ensure good customer relations with crew members and clientele
  • Park and store or properly secure all parked aircraft at all times and direct the movement of aircraft and vehicular traffic on the ramp including the FBO facility and hangars
  • Service aircraft with all supplies and materials, including fueling, which may be required by the aircraft
  • Maintain, clean and organize ramp, hangars and facilities keeping all free of debris and clutter
  • Accept and control checks of fuel received into site operated fuel storage system(s)
  • Perform fuel quality tests on applicable equipment in accordance with ATA form 103
  • Assist all aircraft crews and passengers by providing various services they may desire and aid in boarding and deplaning of passengers, baggage, and cargo
  • Transport crews and passengers to local hotels and/or airport terminal as needed
  • Operate vehicular (fuel trucks, tugs, baggage handling) and ground radio equipment
  • General cleaning of aircraft as needed or requested
  • Perform periodic checks of all equipment and facilities and document findings
  • Initiating emergency response procedures when required
  • Perform various lawn care and janitorial services to ensure a pleasant and clean work environment and guest waiting areas
  • Contribute and participate in any customer appreciation and promotional events, such as birthdays or anniversaries
  • Comply with all airport authority rules and regulations including AOA operations and airport security requirements.
  • Participate in continuous training including NATA programs and company designed curriculum
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High school graduate
  • Previous experience in FBO services, fuel handling experience, and customer service preferred
    • Ability to comprehend and perform basic math calculations with minimal errors
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Word, Excel, & Outlook)
    • Knowledge of use and operation of standard office equipment
  • Previous aviation experience desired

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Must possess the legal ability to work in the United States
  • Strong working knowledge of FBO operations, customer service principles, and the Flexjet service philosophy
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills are necessary to perform job at the expected level
  • Must have a strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Successful candidate must be able to respond calmly and handle many customers' demands in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere to anticipate clientele or crew member needs or to resolve problems quickly
  • Candidate should work well in a fast-paced environment and be flexible to the changing needs of the business
  • Must maintain a valid state drivers license
