Location: Avfuel Corp - Ann Arbor, MI 48108

Position Type: Full Time • Education Level: High School/GED Equivalent • Job Shift: Day • Employment Type: Full Time

Department: Quality Assurance

Responsibilities
  • Answering and troubleshooting Quality Assurance and Technical service calls
  • Reading electrical and hydraulic schematics to diagnose refueler trucks
  • Flow test refueler trucks
  • Travel required (scheduled and emergency) to FBO locations, Terminals, Suppliers
  • Must be able to drive and fly without restrictions
  • Working outdoors when needed for extended periods of time
Qualifications
  • 12V wiring knowledge needed
  • Aptitude to learn how to interpret electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics
  • Be able to physically climb ladders and vessels of various shapes and sizes
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Comfortable in a shop or office environment
  • Self-starter, highly motivated
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and other staff members
  • Have exceptional customer service and communication skills both by phone and in person
  • High mechanical aptitude in Automotive and Heavy Truck repair with the ability to train and teach
  • Ability to write reports and proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and complete assignments within deadlines
  • Experience in operations & maintenance of aviation refueling equipment and aviation fuel handling practices would be a plus
Education and Experience
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline is preferred, not required
  • High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of three years of aircraft refueler or related experience required; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position
  • Heavy truck mechanics, auto mechanics, ground support mechanics, aviation line service personnel and managers are encouraged to apply, as this is a “Hands On” position that includes on the job training
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
