POSITION SUMMARY: The door person ensures the safety and security of all our guests and staff, and to make sure the customersโ€™ nights are fun and exciting. You will play a key role in the operation of our entire business as a visible and powerful force for order.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greeting patrons and checking IDs
  • Collecting cover charges
  • Providing security and safety
  • Maintaining bar supplies, when needed
  • Protecting bar patrons and staff
  • Monitoring bar or club perimeter for safety concerns
  • Assessing customer aggression or intoxication

Job Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • Ability to work during peak business hours, including Fridays, Saturdays and special events
  • Possess the ethics and positive attitude that support our values and culture
  • Ability to assess threats and over-intoxication
  • Comfortable talking to people
  • Ability to manage multiple people and situations while maintaining composure

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Must have the ability/stamina to work a minimum of 30 hours a week
  • Ability to stand/walk for 2-6 hours per day
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Will frequently reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry
  • Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors
  • Must be able to tolerate higher levels of noise from music and customer traffic
  • Work environment: exposure to food, liquor, mixing devices, drink machines, water, sanitizers, cleaning products, knives, other sharp objects, and slippery floors
