What You'll Do:

As a Bag Operator, you will be part of our Decorah Operations team located in Decorah, IA. You'll get to:

JOB KNOWLEDGE:

1. Thorough knowledge of all bagging equipment.

2. Basic personal computer knowledge.

3. Knowledge of bag styles.

4. Knowledge of customer driven specifications.

5. Print and service order knowledge.

6. Basic parts identification knowledge.

7. Knowledge of Manufacturing and Shipping Systems

8. Material handling equipment.

9. Ability to create bag labels that meet the requirements of our customers.

10. Must be able to work overtime as needed.

JUDGEMENT

1. Prioritize activities to maximize efficiency.

2. Recognize the acceptable quality level of product.

3. Recognize unsafe conditions or act and report to supervisor immediately.

4. Recognize maintenance problems with minimal assistance.

5. Recognize acceptable supply inventory.

6. Ability to recognize situations requiring inventory adjustments on the manufacturing system.

TEAMWORK:

1. Communicates and cooperates with co-workers.

2. Accepts job assignments and assists co-workers as needed.

3. Facilitates the product that flows into and out of the area, so we make timely shipments.

SAFETY/HOUSEKEEPING:

1. Follows all company safety procedures and reports any safety hazards or violations to lead person or supervisor.

2. Ensures machines and work area are neat and orderly.

PRODUCTIVITY:

1. Makes minor repairs and assists Maintenance department with major repairs.

2. Completes paperwork in a timely manner.

3. Sets up and runs machines to full capability.

4. Assists in other areas as required.

5. Maintains customer requirement data on the labels and bags.

Performs duties as requested by the Supervisor or lead person.

Must be available to work overtime.
