Job description

JOB SUMMARY:
Hog Slat, Inc. the world's leading provider of parts, equipment and turn-key construction to the swine & poultry industries is seeking an Assembler with excellent reasoning and mathematical skills to join the team at our Clinton, NC Manufacturing location.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as business conditions change.
  • Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints.
  • Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets or other fasteners.
  • Removes small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce close fit between parts.
  • Operates drill presses, pneumatic and hard tools or riveting machines to assist in assembly operations
  • Adhere to all safety procedures

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
The IDEAL CANDIDATE will have the following experience/educational background:
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a daily basis
