Job description

Travel Cath Lab Tech –
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks (with potential for extension)
Shift: 3x12s | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | One weekend on-call per month

Pay Package

  • Taxable Wages: $648/week
  • Nontaxable Stipend: $1,800/week
  • Gross Weekly Pay (Based on 36 hrs): $2,448

Job Overview

As a Cath Lab Technologist, you will play a critical role in cardiac care, performing advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures that help guide treatment for patients with heart conditions. You’ll be a vital member of the interventional cardiology team, working closely with physicians and nursing staff in a fast-paced, life-saving environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations
  • Assist in the placement of triple lumen catheters and other intravascular devices
  • Monitor and document cardiac rhythms, especially for patients with implanted cardiac devices
  • Support the care team during emergencies and manage patient safety
  • Maintain a sterile field and apply proper aseptic techniques
  • Conduct lab administration tasks and manage inventory
  • Demonstrate knowledge of emergency codes, protocols, and equipment
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other team members to ensure exceptional patient care

Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Nursing, Radiology, or related health sciences

Certifications:

  • Required: BLS, ACLS
  • Preferred: RCIS, ARRT, CPR, EKG, IABP, PALS

Skills:

  • Cardiac anatomy and physiology
  • Radiographic imaging principles
  • Cardiac rhythm and arrhythmia recognition
  • Patient monitoring and sterile technique
