The GQ Global Fashion Director is a member of the Global Fashion Network and responsible for creating, curating and driving the fashion point of view across the brand platforms, including print, digital, video and social. They also lend their fashion expertise to e-commerce projects, events and other brand initiatives. This individual manages a team of editors and stylists responsible for creating GQ fashion coverage and executing high-level content consistent with the brand's point of view. They may also style shoots as determined. This role works closely with the GQ Editorial Lead and GQ Global Creative Director on creating exceptional fashion imagery that aligns with the brand's objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:

Work closely with the GFN, GQ Editorial Lead and top editorial team to create and execute fashion editorial across all platforms

Work closely with GQ Global Creative Director on the conceptual development and execution of all GQ Projects: editorial, social, digital & events

Manage a team of global GQ fashion editors within the GFN to ensure brand standards across markets

Cultivate top-level, productive relationships with the fashion community (brands, stylists, talent, photographers)

Work with GFN Lead in managing a smooth-running and efficient team responsible for covering market needs and generating innovative global fashion content

Style shoots (print & digital) as needed; work closely with other stylists and creative teams on fashion editorial

Contribute to all relevant brand initiatives and tent pole events

Represent the brand within the worlds of fashion, entertainment, culture

Serve as an audience-facing voice across GQ's platforms, particularly video and social Consult with commercial team on branded and sponsored projects that incorporate GQ's fashion expertise

Collaborate within the Global Fashion Network on special projects as needed Serve as a member of the brand's top editorial team, contributing coverage ideas in fashion and collaborating with business leaders to build the brand's culture and create new opportunities.

Qualifications

6 - 10 years experience

Previous editorial experience in fashion preferred

Experience in managing a team

Strong relationships in the worlds of fashion and culture

Strong styling portfolio

Effective communication and management skills

The expected base salary range for this position is from NYC Pay Range: $165,000-$202,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
