Collectively, West Oahu Aggregate (WOA) and Pineridge Farms are a respected Hawaiʻi-based, family-owned enterprise with a long history of building successful businesses. Over several decades, the founders have grown a diversified portfolio of market-leading businesses that provide essential services throughout the islands, including vehicle transportation and logistics, commercial diesel fuel delivery, concrete production, aggregate recycling, and refuse and recycling services.

WOA, has served Oʻahu for more than three decades, evolving from a rock-crushing operation into a leading provider of waste and recycling services, concrete producer, concrete and asphalt recycling, diesel fuel services, and transportation services that support critical infrastructure and construction projects across the island. With more than $60 million in annual revenue and approximately 200 employees, the enterprise has achieved meaningful scale while retaining the agility, work ethic, and people-centered culture that have long defined its success.

Pineridge Farms is a hauling, crushing, screening, and aggregate services company that has been serving Oʻahu since 1987. With a diverse fleet and expertise in construction trucking, heavy equipment hauling, recycling, and aggregate solutions, Pineridge Farms plays an important role in helping contractors and communities complete major projects across the island while promoting the reuse and recycling of materials. With just under 100 employees, the company operates with the agility of a lean, closely connected organization, supported by a highly capable office team with deep operational knowledge. Together, these businesses reflect the organization’s entrepreneurial spirit, operational expertise, and deep commitment to Hawaiʻi’s economic growth, infrastructure, and environmental stewardship.

Today, the company stands at an important inflection point as ownership transitions from an owner-operated model to professional executive leadership. While the founders will remain engaged as the sole members of the Board of Directors, providing strategic oversight and stewardship, they are seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead day-to-day operations, strengthen organizational capabilities, develop future leaders, and position the enterprise for continued success. This transition reflects a commitment to preserving the company’s values, entrepreneurial culture, and long-standing reputation while building the leadership structure, operational discipline, and organizational capacity necessary to sustain growth and impact for generations to come.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

WOA and its affiliated companies are entering a pivotal next chapter as ownership thoughtfully transitions from a founder-led, owner-operator model to professional executive leadership. This transition represents a rare opportunity to build upon the legacy, entrepreneurial spirit, and trusted relationships that have shaped the company’s success, while introducing the structure, discipline, and leadership practices needed for its next phase of growth.

The CEO will inherit a financially sound, diversified enterprise with strong market presence, experienced leaders, loyal employees, and deep roots in Hawaiʻi’s business and community landscape. At the same time, the organization is ready for a more scalable operating model across its companies and business lines. Early priorities will include gaining a deep understanding of WOA, Pineridge Farms, and each line of business; building trust with ownership and the leadership team; clarifying roles and decision rights; strengthening management layers; and creating greater alignment, accountability, and transparency across the organization. The CEO must appreciate the significant institutional knowledge within the current team and take the time to listen, learn, and understand how the work gets done before advancing change.

Operationally, the CEO will be expected to focus on efficiency, asset utilization, profitability, and disciplined execution across a complex business portfolio. Key areas of attention include improving route efficiency, maximizing fleet utilization, rebuilding shop and maintenance capabilities, reducing breakdowns through stronger preventive maintenance practices, strengthening driver performance, and implementing more consistent policies, processes, and systems. The CEO will also help professionalize decision-making around customer relationships, sales agreements, expenditures, and performance expectations, ensuring that business decisions are guided by data, accountability, and long-term value rather than informal practices or legacy relationships.

Over the first six to twelve months, success will require a visible and hands-on leadership approach. The CEO will be expected to meet employees across the organization, conduct listening visits with key customers and vendors, understand the history and culture of each company, document current business models and opportunities, and guide managers in developing operating plans, dashboards, and standardized problem-solving practices. Over time, the CEO will lead broader strategic work, including evaluating each line of business for return on investment, developing value-based sales and pricing strategies, enhancing brand reputation, strengthening banking and customer relationships, designing the “shop of the future,” and building the systems, leadership depth, and culture needed to support continued growth toward a larger, more sophisticated enterprise.

The ideal candidate will be an accomplished, values-driven executive with strong operational instincts, financial discipline, and a proven ability to lead complex businesses through growth, transition, and organizational development. Just as important, this individual must be humble, credible, transparent, and relationship-oriented, someone who earns trust through integrity, sound judgment, visible results, and respect for the people who have built the business. The successful CEO will bring a collaborative and grounded leadership style, engaging directly with employees and leaders across the organization, empowering others to perform at their best, and communicating with clarity and respect. This individual will need the confidence to guide change and strengthen accountability, balanced with the humility to listen, learn, and honor the family legacy, employee relationships, and values that have made the company successful.

Target Annual Salary: $240,000 - $260,000 plus performance incentive program.
