What is a farming intern?

Farming interns are individuals, often students or early-career professionals, who work on farms to gain hands-on experience in agricultural practices. Interns typically assist with planting, harvesting, animal care, irrigation, and other farm operations while learning about sustainable farming, crop management, and agribusiness. You'll also learn about sustainable agriculture practices, equipment maintenance, and record-keeping. Collaboration with experienced farmers and other interns is common, providing a supportive environment to ask questions and build practical skills.
