Job description

WAGE RANGE: $17.50/Hour + Production Bonus

We are seeking hardworking, experienced Geoduck Farmers to support the cultivation of geoducks on intertidal beach sites. The Geoduck Farmer will be responsible for planting geoduck seeds, installing mesh flex tubes, performing beach maintenance and supporting the overall farm operations. This is a physically demanding, outdoor position that requires working in all weather conditions and at varying times depending on tide schedules. 

  • Ability to sit, stand and/or walk on uneven ground    

  • The employee will be required to stoop, bend, kneel, twist, and squat   

  • The employee needs to be able to lift up to 50 lbs. (Regularly required to exert up to 20 lbs. of force, frequently required to exert up to 50 lbs. of force, occasionally required to exert up to 125 lbs. of force)   

  • The vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus  

  • Must be able to speak and hear well enough to communicate with co-workers, supervisors and managers  

  • Must be able to use hands for repetitive simple grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation  

  • Must have agility and balance to safely climb on machines, boats, etc.   

  • May be required to work at other work sites/locations as needed 

  • May be required to do other tasks as needed
