Job description

Position: General Feedlot Worker

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 Plus per hour

Wage is negotiable based on experience.

Additional pay:

Schedule:


●        10-hour shifts may vary depending on seasonal workload and other factors

●        Weekends are required on a rotational schedule

General Feedlot Worker

As a Feedlot Worker, you are an integral part of ensuring smooth operations by carrying out various duties in the barn and around the feed yard. You can be found everywhere in the facility, from the fields we work, to the barn, feed yard and operating one of our various machines. You will be performing the many tasks required on a daily basis to operate our facilities.

About the Job:

●        Performing daily tasks in the barn and feed yard, ensuring all work is completed efficiently.

●        Low-stress cattle handling

 ●       Processing arriving cattle, tagging, implanting and more.

 ●        Assist with loading and unloading cattle for shipping. 

●        Bedding for the cattle.

●        Operating farm machinery and equipment as needed.

●        Working independently and as part of a team to complete tasks.

●        Maintaining the feedlot and equipment, including the barns, fields, and work areas, and keeping all areas clean and tidy.

●        Following all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

●        Previous experience in farm work or agriculture (preferred but not required).

●        Ability to operate farm equipment such as tractors and loaders (training can be provided).

●        Class 5 drivers license.

●        Knowledge of basic equipment maintenance.

●        Strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to learn.

●        Physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

●        Grandview will train the right candidate. 

●        Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
