Job description

Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of R.D Offutt Farms Seasonal Tractor Operator is to drive tractor to accomplish daily and weekly tasks for field production. This individual has the ability to work well independently with little guidance as well as work in a team environment.

$18 - $21 / hour
Specific Duties Include:
• Perform preventative maintenance and light repairs on equipment
• Follow tasks and directions given by crew leader
• Communicate effectively with management and other team members
• Assist in the maintenance of buildings and equipment ensuring they are in appropriate condition
• Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook
• Conduct self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of R.D. Offutt Farms
• Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set
• Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner
Job Requirements:
• Experience operating heavy machinery, tractor, or other farm equipment preferred
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work
• Willingness to work outside
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the positions with or without accommodation
• Walk on uneven ground at the farm locations
• Must be able to work overtime during harvest season or as the need arises
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
