What Youโ€™ll Be Doing

Opening & Closing

โ€ข Open and close the store following all security and operational procedures.

โ€ข Perform safe counts and daily cash balancing.

โ€ข Ensure the store is clean, signed, and fully customer-ready at open.

โ€ข Secure all departments and doors at close.


Team Leadership & Floor Management

โ€ข Act as Manager-on-Duty (MOD) when scheduled, directing staff to ensure productivity and coverage.

โ€ข Coach team members on presentation, pace, and priorities throughout the shift.

โ€ข Step in to support cashiers, department staff, or customers whenever needed.

โ€ข Be trained and familiar with core responsibilities across all departments, ready to step in where the business needs you.


Customer Service & Escalation

โ€ข Assist with customer complaints, returns, and concerns with professionalism and a solutions-focused approach.

โ€ข Step in during long lines, register issues, or department backups to maintain service standards.

Store Operations

What Weโ€™re Looking For

โ€ข High school diploma or equivalent required.

โ€ข Previous retail experience required; farm, ranch, or outdoor retail strongly preferred.

โ€ข Personal or professional experience in equine, livestock, or pet care preferred.

โ€ข Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals.

โ€ข Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; you keep things calm and moving.

โ€ข A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to make confident decisions under pressure.

โ€ข Basic computer literacy; familiarity with point-of-sale or inventory systems a plus.

โ€ข Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements:

โ€ข Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift or reach merchandise overhead.

โ€ข Capable of pushing/pulling merchandise using proper equipment (e.g., pallet jack).

โ€ข Physically able to stand, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders throughout the shift.

โ€ข Comfortable operating store equipment such as a dolly, hand truck, forklift, baler, computer, and cash register.
